On Sunday I got lucky with the weather and I was able to photograph Melanie’s and Jeff’s engagement session. It is easy when the couple looks as good together as they do.
I had my first engagement session of the year a couple of weeks ago on a chilly May 10th evening. The session included my first trip to the Peace Bridge, which I though would work well for Charlene & Albert who are a very fashionable couple.
Last Sunday I photographed Maggie and Quyen’s engagement session. Quyen was a trooper, he didn’t let the fact he has a broken foot and had to rely on crutches to get around to put a damper on the session. They were a wonderful couple to photograph.
A big thank you to all my clients for making 2012 a spectacular year!
The year started out with a fantastic and unseasonably warm February wedding. This was followed by weddings at locations all over Calgary and Southern Alberta. The venues ranged from small intimate spots like Teatro Restaurant and the Ranche House to vast sweeping locations like Spruce Meadows and Rafter 6 ranch. The finale of the wedding season was a destination wedding at a Napa Valley vineyard and included a tour of San Fransisco.
It wasn’t just weddings! My wife and I shot a ton of families and newborns sessions. These are, almost, always lots of fun.
During the year I also was lucky enough to photograph in several wonderful countries. These included Myanmar, Croatia, Slovenia and Romania.
The following are just a few of my favorite engagement, wedding, newborn and family pictures from the past year. They are in no particular order.
My last e-session of the year may have been the best one. Wonderful couple and a very friendly dog.
Spent a very enjoyable evening with Chris & Dominika taking their engagement photos at Rafter 6 Ranch near Canomre. It was the perfect location, I couldn’t tell who had the strong attraction to Dominika, Chris or the Horses on the ranch. Dominika certainly has a special affinity with horses. Can’t wait until I get to photograph the wedding at Rafter 6.
